Dobby Domestic Shorthair Young Male in Rochester, New York

My story
*Courtesy posting for our friends at !9th Ward Community Cats - approved applicants will be connected with Dobby's caretakers!*

Dobby was a badly injured six-month old kitten found in early October 2022. His tail was mangled, he’d been kicked, and his jaw was broken. He was staggering and running a high fever.

He was so determined though.

He kept going until he found someone to help him.

Since then, his tail has been amputated (cute little nub), his jaw fixed (little crooked), a canine tooth removed (little snaggle toothed), his infections treated, and he’s gaining weight.

He’s FIV+ (NOT FeLV) and with a loving home he’ll live a long, normal life.

FIV is not easily transmitted to other cats, only through a deep bite wound. Sharing food, bedding, litter boxes, and mutual grooming is perfectly safe.

He was a purring love bug when he was found and he’s a purring love bug now.

He cuddles, purrs, bounces, plays, and wants a home and a furrever human.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dobby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
